Locations: Queenscliff, Port Phillip Bay, The Rip, Bass Strait

Fish: Snapper, Sharks, Yellowtail Kingfish, Whiting, Calamari, Salmon, and Flathead

May - Jun - Jul

Locations: Portland, Port Fairy

Fish: Southern Bluefin Tuna, Albacore, Sharks, Snapper

Shark Fishing

Shark fishing trips may be arranged between December and April where we target:

• Mako Sharks,
• Blue and Bronze Whalers

Snapper, Tiger Flathead, Barracouta, Squid and Gummies are frequently encountered whilst berleying for sharks.

Snapper

Although Snapper can be caught all year round in Bass Strait, by far the most productive times are Spring and Autumn for larger species (4-10kg), and Summer months for smaller Pinky Snapper.

Gummy Sharks are also targeted while fishing for Snapper.

Reef Fishing

Catch fish like Snapper, Gummy, School and Seven Gill Sharks.

Yellowtail Kingfish, King George Whiting, Trevally, Salmon, Calamari, Pike and Flathead are targeted at various times throughout the season.

When fishing the shallow inshore reefs we carry a range of soft plastics for those interested in the challenge of lure fishing.

 

Portland Tuna

Southern Blue Fin Tuna are targeted from Portland in the months of May, June, and July. Different prices apply for Tuna fishing, please ring to enquire.
